Hey Neighbors!
Get ready for some excitement—because there’s a lot happening in Campus Hills! We can’t wait to bring you the latest news, highlight unforgettable events, and share heartwarming stories from within our vibrant community. This newsletter is full of exciting information with the theme of “Spring Cleaning”. In May we will be holding our annual Dumpster Day , provided by the Baltimore County Clean Up Program Grant”. We will have two dumpsters, free of charge, for all Campus Hills residents. The dumpsters should be arriving between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. For those early birds, we kindly ask that you do not place any items in the dumpsters until a CHCA Board member is present to ensure we do not have any prohibited items in the dumpsters. Please review the listing of restricted items on our community website. This will avoid any fines that the community will have to pay. And don’t worry, a member of the CHCA board will be there early! As you are spring cleaning, don’t forget to put those items on the side for the upcoming Annual Community Yard Sale in June.
Did you get a chance to visit the food truck in April? It was absolutely tasty! But don’t worry, we have more trucks rolling through Campus Hills each month. So mark your calendars for Fuzzies Burgers, Lyfe Acai, and Conrad’s Crab Food Trucks. All food trucks will be stationed on the 700 block of Southwick Drive.
And remember for those young adults getting ready to enter college or a trade school, the CHCA Scholarship deadline is MAY 15TH!! Campus Hills Community Association values the belief of “strive to learn” and want to help reduce some of the financial burden for our future leaders!
Our Campus Hills Tree Stewards are back in action this season. In a community of over 70 years, many of our trees have had to be removed. The canopy of trees is growing scarce, help bring that back to Campus Hills by meeting with a Campus Hills Tree Steward to select a tree that is accommodating to your home that will offer shade and reducing any sidewalk issues.
We have several exciting events coming this summer including the annual 4th of July Parade, Towson Fireworks, and save the date for the Annual National Night Out event!
We are thrilled to introduce our newest members of the Campus Hills Community Association to you as well. This group is full of energy and new ideas that we believe you will really enjoy! And don’t forget your annual Community Association dues are now being collected. And teaser alert: we are working on something “special” for those residents that pay their dues. Stay tuned for more details!!
Let’s create even more amazing memories—together!
Be well,
Karen V. Heil
